The Electronic Monitoring Requirements (Responsible Officer) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2025

Coming into force: 1st July 2025
The Department of Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 40(3) of the Criminal Justice (Northern Ireland) Order 2008[^f00001], makes the following Order.
Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Electronic Monitoring Requirements (Responsible Officer) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2025 and shall come into operation on 1 July 2025.
Amendment of the Electronic Monitoring Requirement (Responsible Officer) Order (Northern Ireland) 2009

- (1) The Electronic Monitoring Requirements (Responsible Officer) Order (Northern Ireland) 2009[^f00002] is amended as follows;
- (2) In Article 2 (Responsible Officer), after “Surrey SM1 4LD” insert “, or an employee of Buddi Limited, Talbot House, 17 Church Street, Rickmansworth (Herts) WD3 1DE”.

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order amends the Electronic Monitoring Requirements (Responsible Officer) Order (Northern Ireland) 2009 (SR (NI 2009/83) which lists the persons that shall be made responsible for the monitoring of subjects who have an electronic monitoring requirement imposed under Article 35 or 30 of the Criminal Justice (Northern Ireland) Order 2008 (S.I. 2008 / 1216 (N.I. 1)).
Article 2 of this Order adds a further person that shall be made responsible for the delivery of electronic monitoring services and the monitoring of a person’s compliance with an electronic monitoring requirement.
