Interpretation

In these Regulations—

Implanter requirements as regards implanting any microchip

Compliant microchip

A compliant microchip means a microchip which meets the following requirements—

Adverse reaction, migration and failure of a compliant microchip

An individual who identifies any of the following in respect of a compliant microchip implanted in a dog must report it to the Scottish Ministers within 21 days beginning with the day of so identifying—

Details to be recorded on databases

The details to be recorded on a database are—

Conditions to be met by a database operator

when such person makes an inquiry about retained data;

Powers of the Scottish Ministers

Change of keeper

Authorised person

Powers of an authorised person

within 21 days beginning with the day on which the notice is served; and

and, in either case, recover from the keeper the cost of doing so.
