The Secretary of State for Transport, with the consent of the Treasury, makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 56(1) and (2) of the Finance Act 1973 .

Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Vehicle Drivers (Certificates of Professional Competence) (Amendment) Regulations 2008 and come into force on 1st April 2008.

Amendment of the 2007 Regulations

(b) for each course which he proposes to provide, a sum equal to £36 multiplied by the proposed duration of the course in hours and for this purpose part of an hour shall be treated as one hour.

(1A) The competent authority may waive the fee in paragraph (1) or (8) in whole or part if it thinks fit.
