Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order makes amendments consequential upon the enactment in Jersey of the Civil Partnership (Jersey) Law 2012 (L.4/2012).

The Order amends:

• the Immigration (Jersey) Order 1993 (SI 1993/1797) which extended to Jersey, subject to modifications, provisions of the Immigration Act 1971 (c.77);

• the Asylum and Immigration (Jersey) Order 1998 (SI 1998/1070), which extended to Jersey, subject to modifications, provisions of the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996 (c.49); and

• the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 (Jersey) Order 2003 (SI 2003/1252), which extended to Jersey, subject to modifications, provisions of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 (c.43).
