Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1(2)

The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 134 and 214(6)(a) of the Housing and Planning Act 2016 .

In accordance with section 214(2)(j) of that Act, a draft of this instrument has been laid before and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.

Amendments to an approved scheme

Conditions which must be satisfied before approval may be given

Designation as a government administered client money protection scheme

Matters to which the Secretary of State may have regard

In considering whether to approve or designate a scheme the Secretary of State may have regard to the number of other client money protection schemes which are (or are likely to become) approved under regulation 3 or designated under regulation 6.

Conditions with which scheme administrators must comply
