His Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1 and 2 of the Ministers of the Crown Act 1975[^f00001], is pleased, by and with the advice of His Privy Council, to order as follows:

Interpretation

In this Order “instrument” includes Royal Charters, Royal Warrants, Orders in Council, Letters Patent, judgments, decrees, orders, rules, regulations, schemes, bye-laws, awards, licences, authorisations, consents, approvals, contracts and other agreements, memoranda and articles of association, certificates, deeds and other documents.

Certification of instruments purporting to be made or issued by the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities

A certificate signed by the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government that an instrument purporting to be made or issued by the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities was so made or issued is conclusive evidence of that fact.

Transfer of functions to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government

The functions of the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities are transferred to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government.

Transfer of property, rights and liabilities to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government

There are transferred to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government all property, rights and liabilities to which the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities is entitled or subject at the coming into force of this Order.

Supplementary provision in connection with articles 4 and 5

as if references to (and references which are to be read as references to) the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities were or included references to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government.

Validity of things done before coming into force of Order
