Civil Service Regulation (Amendment) Act , 1996
1 Repeal.
1.—The Civil Service Regulation Act, 1956, is hereby amended by the repeal of section 11 (which provides for the re-admission to the Civil Service of certain women who retired from it for the purposes of, on or following marriage), as amended by section 4 of the Civil Service (Employment of Married Women) Act, 1973.
2 Short title, collective citation and commencement.
2.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Civil Service Regulation (Amendment) Act, 1996.
(2) The Civil Service Regulation Acts, 1956 and 1958, and this Act may be cited together as the Civil Service Regulation Acts, 1956 to 1996.
(3) This Act shall come into operation on such day as the Minister for Finance may appoint by order.
