The Jobseekers (1995 Order) (Commencement No. 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 1996

The Department of Health and Social Services, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 1(2) of the Jobseekers (Northern Ireland) Order 1995[^f00001] and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and interpretation

- (1) This Order may be cited as the Jobseekers (1995 Order) (Commencement No. 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 1996.
- (2) In this Order, “the Order” means the Jobseekers (Northern Ireland) Order 1995.
Appointed day

3rd May 1996 is the day appointed for the coming into operation of—
- (a) paragraphs 21, 22, 23, 27, 28, 30, 35, 45, 46, 47, 48 and 51 of Schedule 2 to the Order (which all contain amendments to the Administration Act), and
- (b) Article 40(1) of the Order in so far as it refers to those paragraphs.
Amendment of the Jobseekers (1995 Order) (Commencement No. 1) Order

In Article 2(e) of the Jobseekers (1995 Order) (Commencement No. 1) Order (Northern Ireland) 1996[^f00002], for “Article 40(2)” there shall be substituted “Article 40(1)”.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order.)
This, the second Order commencing provisions of the Jobseekers (Northern Ireland) Order 1995 (“the Order”), provides for the coming into operation on 3rd May 1996 of certain provisions in Schedule 2 which introduce into the Social Security Administration (Northern Ireland) Act 1992 (c. 8) references to the Order.
