Coming into operation: 5th August 1996

The Department of the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 11(2)(e) of the Planning (Northern Ireland) Order 1991[^f00001] and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Planning (Use Classes) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 1996 and shall come into operation on 5th August 1996.

Amendment

The Planning (Use Classes) Order (Northern Ireland) 1989[^f00002] is amended as follows—

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order.)

This Order further amends the Planning (Use Classes) Order (Northern Ireland) 1989 by omitting Classes 7 to 10 (Special Industrial) from the Schedule.

Industrial processes previously within Classes 7 to 10 will fall within Class 5 (General Industrial).
