The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (Commencement No. 4) Order (Northern Ireland) 1996

The Department of Health and Social Services, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 70(3) of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995[^f00001] and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

This Order may be cited as the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (Commencement No. 4) Order (Northern Ireland) 1996.
Appointed day
2
The day appointed for the coming into operation of section 16(3) of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995, to the extent that it is not already in operation, is 2nd December 1996.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order.)
This Order brings into operation on 2nd December 1996 section 16(3) of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 to the extent that it is not already in operation. Section 16(3) in so far as it relates to the definition of “sub-lease” and “sub-tenancy” was brought into operation on 30th May 1996.
