Made: 30th November 1999

In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 1(2) of the Departments (Northern Ireland) Order 1999[^f00001] and of all other powers enabling me in that behalf, I hereby make the following Order:

Citation

This Order may be cited as the Departments (1999 Order) (Commencement) Order (Northern Ireland) 1999.

Appointed day

2

The provisions of the Departments (Northern Ireland) Order 1999 (except for Article 8 and the repeal of section 4 of the Ministries Act (Northern Ireland) 1944)[^f00002] shall come into operation on 1st December 1999.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order.)

This Order brings into operation on 1st December 1999 the provisions of the Departments (Northern Ireland) Order 1999 except for Article 8 and the repeal of section 4 of the Ministries Act (Northern Ireland) 1944.
