To be laid before Parliament under paragraph 7(3) of the Schedule to the Northern Ireland Act 2000

Coming into operation: 8th June 2007

In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 4(1) of the Audit (Northern Ireland) Order 1987 [^f00001] I make the following Order:

Citation and Commencement

This Order may be cited as the Salaries (Comptroller and Auditor General) Order (Northern Ireland) 2007 and shall come into operation on 8th June 2007.

Revocation

2

The Salaries (Comptroller and Auditor General) Order (Northern Ireland) 2006 [^f00002] is revoked.

Salary

3

The annual salary payable to the holder of the office of Comptroller and Auditor General shall be increased as follows -

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order provides for an increase in the annual salary payable to the Comptroller and Auditor General following recommendations made in the Report of the Review Body on Senior Salaries in 2007 (HMSO CM 7030).

The increase, which is to be staged, is made with effect from 1st April 2007 and 1st November 2007 under Article 4(1) of the Audit (Northern Ireland) Order 1987.

Article 2 revokes the [Salaries (Comptroller and Auditor General) Order (Northern Ireland) 2006 SR 302/06](https://www.legislation.gov.uk/nisr/2006/302), which took effect from 1st April 2006.
