Coming into operation: 5th September 2007

The Family Proceedings Rules Committee make the following Rules in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 12 of the Family Law (Northern Ireland) Order 1993[^f00001].

Citation and commencement

These Rules may be cited as the Family Proceedings (Amendment) Rules (Northern Ireland) 2007 and shall come into operation on 5th September 2007.

Amendment to the Family Proceedings Rules (Northern Ireland) 1996

After rule 7.8 insert—

(7.8A) The court may allow a witness to give evidence through a video link or by any other method of direct communication.
