The Rates (Recreational Hereditaments) Order (Northern Ireland) 2007
Made: 12th February 2007
To be laid before Parliament under paragraph 7(3) of the Schedule to the Northern Ireland Act 2000
Coming into operation: 1st April 2007
In accordance with Article 31(6) of that Order it has consulted the Sports Council for Northern Ireland and the Northern Ireland Local Government Association (being an Association which appears to the Department to be representative of district councils):
Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Rates (Recreational Hereditaments) Order (Northern Ireland) 2007 and shall come into operation on 1st April 2007.
Specification of kinds of recreation

Recreations of the kinds set out in the Schedule (being recreations which in the opinion of the Department of Finance and Personnel demand an appreciable degree of physical effort) are specified for the purposes of Article 31 of the Rates (Northern Ireland) Order 1977.
Revocation

- (1) The Rates (Recreational Hereditaments) Order (Northern Ireland) 1976[^f00003] is revoked.
- (2) The Rates (Recreational Hereditaments) Order (Northern Ireland) 1979[^f00004] is revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order specifies the kinds of recreation which qualify certain hereditaments for rate relief under Article 31 of the Rates (Northern Ireland) Order 1977.
It revokes the Rates (Recreational Hereditaments) Order (Northern Ireland) 1976 and the Rates (Recreational Hereditaments) Order (Northern Ireland) 1979.
