Coming into operation: 14th April 2008

The Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety[^f00001], in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 19 of the Health and Personal Social Services (Northern Ireland) Order 1972[^f00002] and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Amendment to Article 3 of the Order

For Article 3 of the Order (Functions of the Joint Committee), there shall be substituted—

  • The Joint Committee shall undertake the following functions in relation to the provision of health and personal social services: the development of a framework and plan for efficient and effective commissioning and supervision of the implementation of such framework and plan; and to manage the resources required by the four Boards to establish and maintain efficient and effective commissioning.
