Coming into operation: 29th February 2008

The Foyle, Carlingford and Irish Lights Commission, in exercise of its powers under section 13(1) (amended by section 34(3) of the British-Irish Agreement Act 1999[^f00001]) of the Foyle Fisheries Act 1952[^f00001] which stand transferred to it under section 34(1) of the British-Irish Agreement Act 1999, and in exercise of the powers conferred by section 13(1) of the Foyle Fisheries Act (Northern Ireland) 1952[^f00002] and now vested in it[^f00003], with the approval of the North/South Ministerial Council, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Foyle Area and Carlingford Area (Angling) (Amendment) Regulations 2008 and shall come into operation on 29th February 2008.

Amendment of the Foyle Area and Carlingford Area (Angling) Regulations 2001

The Foyle Area and Carlingford Area (Angling) Regulations 2001[^f00004] shall be amended in accordance with regulations 3 and 4.

Prohibitions and restrictions

In regulation 4(1) after the words “River Mourne” there shall be added “, the River Finn”.

For Schedule 2 to the Foyle Area and Carlingford Area (Angling) Regulations 2001 there shall be substituted the Schedule as set out in the Schedule to these Regulations.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the Foyle Area and Carlingford Area (Angling) Regulations 2001 by prohibiting angling on a stretch of the River Finn upstream of Cloghan Bridge, County Donegal.
