The Department for Social Development makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 1(2) of the Pensions (Northern Ireland) Order 2005[^f00001].

This Order may be cited as the Pensions (2005 Order) (Commencement No. 13) Order (Northern Ireland) 2009.

Appointed days

The day appointed for the coming into operation of Article 118 of the Pensions (Northern Ireland) Order 2005 (directions) in so far as it is not already in operation—

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order provides for the coming into operation of the remaining provision (paragraph (2)(d)) of Article 118 of the Pensions (Northern Ireland) Order 2005—

Article 118 (2)(d) allows the Board of the Pension Protection Fund to give a relevant person directions regarding the exercise, during an assessment period in relation to an eligible scheme, of that person’s powers in respect of prescribed matters.
