Coming into operation in accordance with Article 1

In accordance with section 1(6) of that Act the Department has consulted with the Coleraine Harbour Commissioners, and such harbour authority or local authority which the Department considered likely to be affected by the Order.

In this Order—

Modification of Harbours, Docks and Piers Clauses Act 1847

In relation to the Commissioners, the provisions of section 83 to 90 of the Harbours, Docks and piers Clauses Act 1847[^f00007] shall cease to have effect.

Repeals

Section 88 of the River Bann Navigation Act 1879 is hereby repealed.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order confers new powers on the Coleraine Harbour Commissioners to make byelaws and provides a new procedure for making byelaws (Article 3).
