The Specified Animal Pathogens (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2010

Coming into operation: 22nd February 2010
The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development[^f00001], makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by Articles 2(3), 5(1), 19, 30(1) and 60(1) of the Diseases of Animals (Northern Ireland) Order 1981[^f00002].
Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Specified Animal Pathogens (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2010 and shall come into operation on 22nd February 2010.
Amendment

The Specified Animal Pathogens Order (Northern Ireland) 2008[^f00003] is amended as set out in this Order.

In Part 1 of Schedule 1 (Specified animal pathogens) after 35 (Peste des petits ruminants virus) insert——
(35A) Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome virus genotype 2

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order)
EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order amends the Specified Animal Pathogens Order (Northern Ireland) 2008 (S.R. 2008 No. 336) to add a further pathogen (Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome virus genotype 2) to Part 1 of Schedule 1.
This Order has been notified in draft to the European Commission in accordance with Directive 98/34/EC, as amended by Directive 98/48/EC.
