Coming into operation: 9th April 2010

The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Article 30(1) of the Juries (Northern Ireland) Order 1996[^f00001] hereby makes the following Regulations.

Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Juries (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland 2010 and shall come into operation on 9th April 2010.

Amendments to the Juries Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1996

Schedule 1 to the Juries Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1996[^f00002] shall be amended as follows.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations amend the Juries Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1996 (S.R. 1996 No. 269) so as to facilitate administrative improvements in relation to jury notices and jury summonses, and to update the entries to type=start slip=2010-05-01 time=1274256064601Form 1type=end slip=2010-05-01 time=1274256064601 and Form 4 in respect of the categories of person disqualified and ineligible for jury service and excusable from jury service as of right.
