The Health and Social Services Trusts (Membership and Procedure) Amendment Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2011

The Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 10(6) of the Health and Personal Social Services (Northern Ireland) Order 1991[^f00001].
Citation, commencement and interpretation

- (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Health and Social Services Trusts (Membership and Procedure) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2011 and shall come into operation on 26th May 2011.
- (2) In these Regulations “the principal Regulations” means the Health and Social Services Trusts (Membership and Procedure) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1994[^f00002].
Amendment of Regulation 11 of the principal Regulations

In Regulation 11 (Disqualification for appointment of chairman and non-executive directors) of the principal Regulations delete sub-paragraph (g) and amend sub-paragraph “(h)” to read “(g)”.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Regulations)
EXPLANATORY NOTE
These Regulations remove the disqualification for appointment relating to persons who hold a paid appointment or office with a trade union which represents the interests of members who are employed by a health and social services body.
