Coming into operation: 14th April 2014

The Department of Justice makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 113(A)(6), 125(1) and (5) of the Police Act 1997[^f00001] as modified by section 126A of that Act[^f00002].

Citation and commencement.

These regulations may be cited as the Police Act 1997 (Criminal Records) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2014, and shall come into operation on 14th April 2014.

Amendment to the Police Act 1997 (Criminal Records) (Disclosure) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2008

(a) convictions, cautions, diversionary youth conferences and informed warnings held in the criminal history database of the Causeway system.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations amend the Police Act 1997 (Criminal Records) (Disclosure) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2008 and make provision for AccessNI to disclose in the course of issuing standard and enhanced criminal record certificates information in relation to cautions, diversionary youth conferences and informed warnings held on the criminal history database on the Causeway system.

These Regulations come into operation on 14th April 2014.
