In accordance with Article 46(1) of that Order it has consulted with the Health and Safety Executive for Northern Ireland and such bodies as appeared to be appropriate.

Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Explosives (Hazard Information and Packaging for Supply) (Amendment No.2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2014 and shall come into operation on 28th February 2014.

(2) The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954[^f00007] shall apply to these Regulations as it applies to an Act of the Assembly.

Amendment of Regulations

In regulation 3(3)(c) of the Explosives (Hazard Information and Packaging for Supply) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2009[^f00008], for “Regulation (EC) No. 689/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 June 2008 concerning the export and import of dangerous chemicals, of which Annexes I and V are as amended from time to time.” substitute “Regulation (EU) No. 649/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 4 July 2012 concerning the export and import of hazardous chemicals, of which Annexes I, II, V and VI are as amended from time to time.”.

Revocation

The Explosives (Hazard Information and Packaging for Supply) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2014[^f00009] are revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The Explosives (Hazard Information and Packaging for Supply) (Amendment No. 2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2014 replaces a reference in the Explosives (Hazard Information and Packaging for Supply) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2009 to Regulation (EC) No. 689/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 June 2008 with references to Regulation (EU) No. 649/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 4 July 2012. These Regulations also revoke The Explosives (Hazard Information and Packaging for Supply) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2014.
