The Local Government (Boundaries) (2008 Act) (Commencement, Transitional Provision and Savings) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2015

The Department of the Environment makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 5(2) and 5(4) of the Local Government (Boundaries) Act (Northern Ireland) 2008[^f00001]:

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Boundaries) (2008 Act) (Commencement, Transitional Provision and Savings) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2015 and shall come into operation on 31st March 2015.

Amendment of the Local Government (Boundaries) (2008 Act) (Commencement, Transitional Provision and Savings) Order (Northern Ireland) 2013

In Article 5 of the Local Government (Boundaries) (2008 Act) (Commencement, Transitional Provision and Savings) Order (Northern Ireland) 2013[^f00002], after paragraph (2) insert—

(3) Paragraph (1) has no effect in relation to Article 4(a) (operational area of the trust) of the following statutory provisions— (a) the Belfast Health and Social Services Trust (Establishment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2006[^f00003]; (b) the South Eastern Health and Social Services Trust (Establishment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2006[^f00004]; (c) the Southern Health and Social Services Trust (Establishment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2006[^f00005]; (d) the Northern Health and Social Services Trust (Establishment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2006[^f00006]; (e) the Western Health and Social Services Trust (Establishment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2006[^f00007]; and (4) Paragraph (1) has no effect in relation to— (a) the Schedule (specified committee areas) to the Patient and Client Council (Membership and Procedure) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2009[^f00008]; (b) the Schedule (names and areas of local commissioning groups) to the Local Commissioning Groups (Number, Area and Functions) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2009[^f00009]; and (c) Schedule 2 (names and areas of safeguarding panels) to the Safeguarding Board for Northern Ireland (Membership, Procedure, Functions and Committee) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012[^f00010].

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order makes provision for amendment of the Local Government (Boundaries) (2008 Act) (Commencement, Transitional Provision and Savings) Order (Northern Ireland) 2013, to provide that that Article 5(1) of that Order has no effect in relation to the specified parts of the following statutory rules:
