The Londonderry Harbour (Variation of Limits) Order (Northern Ireland) 2015

Affirmed by resolution of the Assembly on: 29th June 2015

Coming into operation in accordance with Article 1.

In accordance with section 1(6) of that Act the Department has consulted with the Londonderry Port and Harbour Commissioners, and such harbour authority or local authority which the Department considered likely to be affected by the Order.

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Londonderry Harbour (Variation of Limits) Order (Northern Ireland) 2015 and shall come into operation on the day after that on which it is affirmed by resolution of the Assembly.

Amendment to Londonderry Port and Harbour Act 1854

In section 57 of the Londonderry Port and Harbour Act 1854[^f00004] for “Lifford Bridge” substitute “Craigavon Bridge”.

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order amends section 57 of the Londonderry Port and Harbour Act 1854 to provide for the limits of jurisdiction of the Londonderry Port and Harbour Commissioners with respect to conservancy and rates as extending from Craigavon Bridge to a line drawn from Greencastle Fort in the County of Donegal to the Tower on Magilligan Point in the City and County of Londonderry.
