The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs [^f00001], in exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Rural Needs Act (Northern Ireland) 2016 [^f00002], makes the following Order.
Citation

This Order may be cited as the Rural Needs (2016 Act) (Commencement No. 1) Order (Northern Ireland) 2017.
Appointed day
2
The day appointed for the coming into operation of sections 1 to 4 of the Rural Needs Act (Northern Ireland) 2016, as they apply to Northern Ireland departments and district councils as listed in the Schedule to that Act, is 1st June 2017.
