The Import and Export Restrictions (Foot-and-Mouth Disease) (Scotland) (No. 3) Revocation Regulations 2002

The Scottish Ministers in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972[^f00001] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Import and Export Restrictions (Foot-and-Mouth Disease) (Scotland) (No. 3) Revocation Regulations 2002 and shall come into force on 7th March 2002.

Revocations

The Regulations listed in column 1 of the Schedule to these Regulations are revoked to the extent specified in column 3 of that Schedule.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations implement in Scotland article 3 of Commission Decision 2002/153/EC (O.J. No. L 50, 21.2.02, p.98) concerning certain protection measures with regard to foot-and-mouth disease in the United Kingdom, repealing Decision 2001/740/EC and amending for the eighth time Decision 2001/327/EC.

They revoke the restrictions on imports and exports of certain animals and animal products contained in the Import and Export Restrictions (Foot-and-Mouth Disease) (No. 3) Regulations 2001 as amended, as set out in the Schedule.
