The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by section 24(1) of the Water Industry (Scotland) Act 2002[^f00001] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf hereby make the following Order:
Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the New Water and Sewerage Authorities Dissolution (Scotland) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 29th June 2002.
Dissolution of authorities

29th June 2002 is hereby specified as the date on which the new water and sewerage authorities are dissolved.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order dissolves the new water and sewerage authorities established under the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994. The functions of these authorities have previously been transferred to Scottish Water.
