The A90 (Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route) Special Road Scheme 2010
This Scheme at paragraph2 authorises the Scottish Ministers, as special road authority, to provide a special road along those routes described in the Schedule between Blackdog and Stonehaven.

This Scheme is made in accordance with the provisions of PartsII and III of Schedule1[^f00006] to that Act.
Citation and commencement

This Scheme may be cited as the A90(Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route) Special Road Scheme 2010 and comes into force on the 28th day after the day on which it is approved by resolution of the Scottish Parliament.
Special road

The Scottish Ministers as special road authority are, by means of this Scheme, authorised to provide a special road along the routes described in the Schedule and such road shall become trunk road on the date this Scheme comes into force.
Classes of traffic

ClassesI andII of the classes of traffic set out in Schedule3 to the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 are prescribed for the purpose of the use of the special road, the routes of which are described in the Schedule.
SCHEDULE — SPECIAL ROAD
INTERPRETATION
In this Schedule—
- “theplan folio” means the plan folio numbered RYC/G109/13/0701 and entitled “TheA90 (Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route) Special Road Scheme 2010”, signed with reference to this Scheme and deposited at the offices of Transport Scotland, Buchanan House, 58Port Dundas Road, Glasgow, G40HF;
- “point1” means the existing access to Middleton Farm, Whitehorse Terrace, Bridge of Don, Aberdeen, AB238BS at the existing A90/M90 Inverkeithing– Fraserburgh Trunk Road shown marked “point1” on plan SP1 in the plan folio;
- “point2” means the centre point of the existing Goval Bridge, Dyce, Aberdeenshire where the existing A947 Aberdeen– Oldmeldrum– Turriff Road crosses GovalBurn shown marked “point2” on plan SP1 in the plan folio;
- “point3” means the centre point of the existing Aberdeen– Inverness Railway Line railway bridge by Tillybrig Cottage, Dyce, Aberdeen, AB210DP, shown marked “point3” on planSP1 in the plan folio;
- “point4” means the existing access to Corsehill, Bucksburn, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, AB219TJ at the existing A96Aberdeen– Inverness Trunk Road as shown marked “point4” on planSP2 in the plan folio;
- “point5” means the existing junction at Kingwells Park& Ride, Kingswells, Aberdeen with the existing A944Aberdeen– Alford– Strathdon Road (Skene Road) shown marked “point5” on planSP3 in the plan folio;
- “point6” means the existing access to HillFarm, Milltimber, Aberdeen, AB130ET from the existing Contlaw Road, Aberdeen shown marked “point6” on planSP3 in the plan folio;
- “point7” means the centre point of the existing Maryculter Bridge, Maryculter, Aberdeenshire south of Milltimber, Aberdeen where the existing B979Stonehaven– Newmachar Road (NetherleyRoad) crosses the River Dee shown marked “point7” on planSP4 in the plan folio;
- “point8” means the existing access to Mainsof Cookney, Cookney, Aberdeenshire, AB393SA at the existing Muchalls– Burnhead Road (C25K), Aberdeenshire shown marked “point8” on planSP4 in the plan folio;
- “point9” means the existing access to Elrick Farm, Bridge of Muchalls, Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire, AB393RU at the existing Bridge of Muchhalls– Netherley Road (C12K), Aberdeenshire shown marked “point9” on planSP5 in the plan folio; and
- “point10” means the existing access to East Lodge, Ury, Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire, AB393QA at the existing B979 Stonehaven– Newmachar Road (Netherley Road) shown marked “point10” on planSP5 in the plan folio.

Paragraph3 prescribes which classes of traffic are permitted to use the special road.
Copies of the Environmental Statement prepared for the project, and the plans referred to in this Scheme, may be inspected, free of charge, at the offices of Transport Scotland, Buchanan House, 58Port Dundas Road, Glasgow G4 0HF between 0900hours - 1630hours (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays).
