The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 24(2), 24A(4) and 24B(3) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1966 and all other powers enabling them to do so.

Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Non-Domestic Rating (Unoccupied Property) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2020 and come into force on 1 April 2020.

All three sections are amended by the Local Government Finance (Unoccupied Properties etc.) (Scotland) Act 2012 (asp. 11). The functions of the Secretary of State under sections 24(2) and 24A(4) were transferred to the Scottish Ministers by virtue of section 53 of the Scotland Act 1998 (c.46).
