The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 121(2) of the Moveable Transactions (Scotland) Act 2023[^f00001] and all other powers enabling them to do so.
Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Moveable Transactions (Scotland) Act 2023 (Commencement) Regulations 2024 and come into force on 1 April 2025.
Day appointed
2
1 April 2025 is the day appointed for the coming into force of the Moveable Transactions (Scotland) Act 2023, so far as not already in force.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Regulations)
EXPLANATORY NOTE
These Regulations bring into force on 1 April 2025 the provisions of the Moveable Transactions (Scotland) Act 2023 (asp 3) (“the 2023 Act”) which are yet to be commenced.
The Bill for the 2023 Act received Royal Assent on 13 June 2023. Sections 118, 119, 121 and 122 came into force on the following day. The remaining provisions of the 2023 Act are brought into force by these Regulations.
