Act of Sederunt (Registration Appeal Court) 2025
Made: 6th May 2025
Laid before the Scottish Parliament: 8th May 2025
Coming into force: 9th June 2025
The Court of Session makes this Act of Sederunt under the powers conferred by section 57(2) of the Representation of the People Act 1983[^f00001] and all other powers enabling it to do so.
Citation and commencement, etc.

- (1) This Act of Sederunt may be cited as the Act of Sederunt (Registration Appeal Court) 2025.
- (2) It comes into force on 9th June 2025.
- (3) A certified copy is to be inserted in the Books of Sederunt.
Registration Appeal Court

- (1) The court for hearing appeals under section 57(1)(b) of the Representation of the People Act 1983 is to consist of the Right Honourable Lord Doherty, the Right Honourable Lady Paton and the Honourable Lord Harrower.
- (2) The Act of Sederunt (Registration Appeal Court) 2021[^f00002] is revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Act of Sederunt appoints three judges to hear registration appeals under section 57 of the Representation of the People Act 1983. It revokes the Act of Sederunt (Registration Appeal Court) 2021 which previously made such provision.
