Coming into force: 1st July 2025

In accordance with section 22(2) of the 2013 Act, the Scottish Ministers have consulted the representatives of such persons as appeared to the Scottish Ministers likely to be affected by these Regulations and have laid a report before the Scottish Parliament.

Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Firefighters’ Pension Scheme (Amendment) (Scotland) Regulations 2025 and come into force on 1 July 2025.

Amendment of the Firefighters’ Pension Scheme (Scotland) Regulations 2015

The Firefighters’ Pension Scheme (Scotland) Regulations 2015[^f00002] are amended as follows.

In regulation 110(2)—

Pensionable pay range for an employment Contribution rate from 1st July 2025
Up to £35,000 11.73%
£35,001 to £55,000 13.63%
£55,001 to £142,500 14.23%
£142,501 or more 15.23%

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations amend the Firefighters’ Pension Scheme (Scotland) Regulations 2015 to provide for new member contribution rates, with effect from 1 July 2025.
