Coming into Operation: 24th November 1969

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the Secretaries of State for Scotland and the Home Department (being the Secretaries of State respectively concerned with the sea-fishing industry in Scotland and Northern Ireland) in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 23 of the Sea Fisheries Act 1968 (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”) and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf hereby make the following Order:—

This Order may be cited as the Sea Fisheries Act 1968 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1969 and shall come into operation on the 24th November 1969.

The following provisions of the Act shall come into force:—

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order brings into force on 24th November 1969 those provisions of the Sea Fisheries Act 1968 which are not already in operation except the repeal of certain provisions of the Sea Fisheries Act 1883 and of certain other enactments related to that Act.
