Made: 7th January 1999

Coming into force: 15th January 1999

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, and the Secretary of State, being Ministers designated for the purposes of subsection (2) of section 2 of the European Communities Act 1972 in relation to the common agricultural policy of the European Community, acting jointly in the exercise of the powers conferred on them by that subsection, and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations:

Title and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Arable Area Payments (Amendment) Regulations 1999, and shall come into force on 15th January 1999.

The Arable Area Payments Regulations 1996 shall be amended in regulation 2(3) by the substitution, for the words “the Arable Area Payments (Amendment) Regulations 1997”, of the words “ the Arable Area Payments (Amendment) Regulations 1998 ”.
