- (1) Subject to regulations 45 to 53, general responders may disclose information on request to another general responder in connection with the performance by either of a function under the Act which relates to emergencies.
- (2) In relation to the Chief Constable of the Police Service of Northern Ireland, “emergencies” means an emergency falling within section 1(1)(c).
Part 11 — Review

- (1) Before the end of the review period, the Minister for the Cabinet Office must—
- (a) carry out a review of these Regulations;
- (b) set out the conclusions of the review in a report; and
- (c) lay the report before Parliament.
- (2) The report must in particular—
- (a) set out the objectives intended to be achieved by the regulatory system established by these Regulations;
- (b) assess the extent to which those objectives are achieved; and
- (c) assess whether those objectives remain appropriate and, if so, the extent to which they could be achieved with a system that imposes less regulation.
- (3) “Review period” means—
- (a) the period of five years beginning with 1st April 2012; and
- (b) subject to paragraph (4), each successive period of five years.
- (4) If a report under this regulation is laid before Parliament before the last day of the review period to which it relates, the following review period is to begin with the day on which the report is laid.

- (1) Paragraph 2 of Schedule 9 to the Energy Act 2013 (prohibition on disclosing protected information) does not apply to the disclosure of information by the Office for Nuclear Regulation to another responder if the disclosure is made—
- (a) in connection with the performance by that other responder of a duty under—
- (i) section 2 or 4;
- (ii) a provision of these Regulations; or
- (iii) a provision in regulations made by the Scottish Ministers under Part 1;
- (b) in connection with another function of that responder which relates to emergencies; or
- (c) in connection with a function of the Office for Nuclear Regulation which relates to emergencies.
- (2) For the purposes of paragraph (1), it is immaterial whether the disclosure is made pursuant to a request made under regulation 47.
- (3) In paragraph (1), the reference to the Office for Nuclear Regulation includes a reference to an officer of the Office.
