(1) Unless otherwise indicated, terms and expressions used in any relevant instrument have the meaning they have in the Council Directive subject to the modifications set out in the Schedule.

(2) For the purposes of reference to the Council Directive, or any provision of it, in any relevant instrument, that Directive is to be construed in accordance with the Schedule.

(3) In this regulation—

(a) “relevant instrument” means any instrument that is adopted pursuant to the Council Directive before IP completion day and is assimilated direct legislation;

(b) “the Council Directive” means Council Directive 2006/88/EC on animal health requirements for aquaculture animals and products thereof, and on the prevention and control of certain diseases in aquatic animals.
