Made: 23rd November 2000

Coming into force: 1st February 2001

In exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by Section 218(1)(aa) of the Education Reform Act 1988[^f00001] and now vested in the National Assembly for Wales[^f00002] the National Assembly for Wales makes the following Regulations:

Explanatory note

(This note does not form part of the Regulations)

These regulations provide that no qualified teachers, save for certain exceptions, are to be employed in maintained schools or in non-maintained special schools unless they are registered by the General Teaching Council for Wales.
