Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations give effect in relation to Wales to article 3 of Commission Decision 2002/153/EC (OJ No. L50, 21.2.2002, p. 98). That Decision repealed Commission Decision 2001/740/EC as amended concerning certain protection measures with regard to foot-and-mouth disease in the United Kingdom (OJ No. L277, 20.10.2001, p. 30). The Regulations revoke the Import and Export Restrictions (Foot-and-Mouth Disease) (Wales) (No.2) Regulations 2002 which implemented the last amendment to Commission Decision 2001/740/EC.

A Regulatory Appraisal has not been prepared for these Regulations.
