The Revenue Support Grant (Specified Bodies) (Amendment) (Wales) Regulations 2003

Coming into force: 28th March 2003
The National Assembly for Wales makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers given to the Secretary of State by sections 76(4) and 140(4) of the Local Government Finance Act 1988[^f00001] which are now vested in it so far as exercisable in Wales[^f00002]:
Name, commencement and application

- (1) These Regulations are called the Revenue Support Grant (Specified Bodies) (Amendment) (Wales) Regulations 2003 and come into force on 28th March 2003.
- (2) These Regulations apply only to Wales.
Amendment of Regulations

In relation to any financial year beginning on or after 1 April 2003, Regulation 3 of the Revenue Support Grant (Specified Bodies) (Wales) Regulations 2000[^f00003] is amended—
- (a) by the omission of paragraph (d); and
- (b) by the addition, at the end, of—
(j) The Local Authorities Co-ordinators of Regulatory Services

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Regulations)
Sections 78 and 79 of the Local Government Finance Act 1988 provide for revenue support grant to be payable to any body which provides services for local authorities and which is specified by the Secretary of State in regulations. These powers are now vested in the National Assembly for Wales in relation to Wales.
These Regulations amend the Revenue Support Grant (Specified Bodies) (Wales) Regulations 2000 by removing the Local Authorities Co-ordinating Body on Food and Trading Standards from the list of specified bodies and adding the Local Authorities Co-ordinators of Regulatory Services. The amendments have effect for financial years beginning on or after 1 April 2003.
