The Adoption and Children Act 2002 (Commencement No. 11)(Wales) Order 2005

The National Assembly for Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 148(6) of the Adoption and Children Act 2002[^f00001], hereby makes the following Order—

Title, interpretation and application

• (1) The title of this Order is the Adoption and Children Act 2002 (Commencement No. 11)(Wales) Order 2005.

• (2) This Order applies in relation to Wales.

Provisions coming into force on 30 December 2005

30 December 2005 is the appointed day for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Adoption and Children Act 2002—

• (a) section 4 so far as not already in force;

• (b) sections 6 to 8;

• (c) section 12 so far as not already in force;

• (d) sections 13 to 15;

• (e) sections 56 to 58 so far as they are not already in force;

• (f) sections 60 to 62 so far as they are not already in force;

• (g) paragraphs 13, 65 and 111 to 113 of Schedule 3 and section 139(1) in so far as it relates to those paragraphs (minor and consequential amendments).

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order is the eleventh Commencement Order made under the Adoption and Children Act 2002 (“the Act”) and applies to Wales.

The Order brings into force on 30 December 2005 various sections of the Act.
