In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972, the Welsh Ministers make the following Regulations:

Title, application and commencement

The title of these Regulations is the Products of Animal Origin (Disease Control) (Wales) (Amendment) (No 2) Regulations 2009; they apply in relation to Wales and come into force on 10 August 2009.

Amendment

2

In regulation 3 (Restricted animal, restricted poultry and restricted meat: definitions) of the Products of Animal Origin (Disease Control) (Wales) Regulations 2008[^f00003], in paragraph 8 of the English version, for “protected” substitute “protection”.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend regulation 3 of the Products of Animal Origin (Disease Control) (Wales) Regulations 2008 (S.I. 2008 No. 1275), by substituting “protection” for “protected” in paragraph 8 of the English version.
