The Education Act 2002 (Commencement No. 14) (Wales) Order 2011
Made: 29 July 2011
The Welsh Ministers, in exercise of the power conferred upon the National Assembly for Wales by section 216(3), (4) and (5) of the Education Act 2002[^f00001] and now vested in them[^f00002], make the following Order:
Title and interpretation

- (1) The title of this Order is the Education Act 2002 (Commencement No. 14) (Wales) Order 2011.
- (2) In this Order, the “2002 Act” (“Deddf 2002”) means the Education Act 2002.
Appointed day

- (1) The appointed day is 1 September 2011.
- (2) The following provisions of the 2002 Act come into force on the appointed day—
- (a) section 204;
- (b) section 215(2) to the extent that it relates to the provisions of Schedule 22 specified below; and
- (c) in Schedule 22, the repeal of chapter I of Part 4 of the Education Act 1997.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings into force on 1 September 2011 provisions of the Education Act 2002 specified in article 2 of the Order. These are the provisions that relate to the federation of schools.
