The Public Transport Users’ Committee for Wales (Abolition) Order 2014

The Welsh Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred upon the National Assembly for Wales by sections 8 and 9 of the Transport (Wales) Act 2006[^f00001], and now vested in them[^f00002] make the following Order:

Title, commencement and application

• (1) The title of this Order is the Public Transport Users’ Committee for Wales (Abolition) Order 2014 and it comes into force on 15 April 2014.

• (2) This Order applies in relation to Wales.

Interpretation

In this Order—

• “the 2009 Order” (“Gorchymyn 2009”) means the Public Transport Users’ Committee for Wales (Establishment) Order 2009[^f00003]

Abolition of the Public Transport Users’ Committee for Wales

• (1) The Public Transport Users’ Committee for Wales established under article 3 of the 2009 Order is abolished; and

• (2) the 2009 Order is hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order abolishes the Public Transport Users’ Committee for Wales, established under article 3 of the Public Transport Users’ Committee for Wales (Establishment) Order 2009 by virtue of sections 8 and 9 of the Transport (Wales) Act 2006.

No regulatory impact assessment has been prepared in respect of this instrument as no cost to the business or voluntary sector is foreseen.
