The Education (Wales) Act 2014 (Commencement No. 4) Order 2015

The Welsh Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by section 50(4) and (5) of the Education (Wales) Act 2014[^f00001], make the following Order:

Title

The title of this Order is the Education (Wales) Act 2014 (Commencement No. 4) Order 2015.

Provisions coming into force on 1 January 2016

The appointed day for the following provisions of the Education (Wales) Act 2014 coming into force is 1 January 2016—

• (a) section 14 (school teachers and school learning support workers) to the extent it is not already in force;

• (b) section 16 (further education learning support workers); and

• (c) the second and fourth rows of Table 1 in paragraph 1 of Schedule 2 (categories of registration).

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This is the fourth commencement order made by the Welsh Ministers under the Education (Wales) Act 2014 (“the 2014 Act”).

This Order brings into force on 1 January 2016 the following provisions of the 2014 Act—

• (a) section 14 (school teachers and school learning support workers) to the extent it is not already in force;

• (b) section 16 (further education learning support workers); and

• (c) the second and fourth rows of Table 1 in paragraph 1 of Schedule 2 (categories of registration).
