The Education Act 2002 (Commencement No. 15) (Wales) Order 2015

Made: 24 February 2015

The Welsh Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred upon the National Assembly for Wales by section 216(4) and (5) of the Education Act 2002[^f00001] and now vested in them[^f00002], make the following Order:

Title

The title of this Order is the Education Act 2002 (Commencement No. 15) (Wales) Order 2015.

Appointed Day

2

• (1) The appointed day is 27 February 2015.

• (2) Chapter 1 of Part 1 of the Education Act 2002[^f00003] (which comprises sections 1 to 5 and relates to powers to facilitate innovation) comes into force on the appointed day.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order brings into force on 27 February 2015 Chapter 1 of Part 1 (which is sections 1 to 5) of the Education Act 2002. That Chapter gives powers, which are now vested in Welsh Ministers, to make orders to facilitate the implementation of innovative projects and makes provision about matters related to those powers.
