The Bathing Water (Amendment) (Wales) Regulations 2016

The Welsh Ministers are designated[^f00001] for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972[^f00002] in relation to measures relating to water resources and make these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by that section.

Title, application and commencement

• (1) The title of these Regulations is the Bathing Water (Amendment) (Wales) Regulations 2016 and they come into force on 30 March 2016.

• (2) These Regulations apply in relation to Wales.

Amendment of Part 2 of Schedule 2 to the Bathing Water Regulations 2013

In Part 2 of Schedule 2 (surface waters in Wales) to the Bathing Water Regulations 2013[^f00003] after “Aberdyfi” insert “Aberdyfi Rural Beach”.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations, which apply in relation to Wales, amend Part 2 of Schedule 2 (surface waters in Wales) to the Bathing Water Regulations 2013 (“the Regulations”), which lists the waters identified by the Welsh Ministers as bathing waters in Wales.

Regulation 2 of these Regulations adds Aberdyfi Rural Beach to the list of identified bathing waters in the Regulations.

The Welsh Ministers’ Code of Practice on the carrying out of Regulatory Impact Assessments was considered in relation to these Regulations. As a result, no impact assessment has been produced for these Regulations as there is no change to policy, or impact on business or the voluntary sectors foreseen.
