The A483 Trunk Road (Welshpool, Powys) (Derestriction) Order 2026

Coming into force: 4 September 2026
The Welsh Ministers, as traffic authority for the relevant length of the A483 trunk road, and in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by sections 82(2) and 83(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984[^f00001], make this Order.
The Welsh Ministers have given public notice of their intention to make this Order in accordance with section 83(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Title and commencement

The title of this Order is the A483 Trunk Road (Welshpool, Powys) (Derestriction) Order 2026 and this Order comes into force on 4 September 2026.
Interpretation

In this Order “the trunk road” (“y gefnffordd”) means the A483 Swansea to Manchester trunk road.
Derestriction

The length of the trunk road northeast of Welshpool, from a point 185 metres southwest of the centre-point of its junction with the A458 Salop Road to a point 183 metres northeast of the centre-point of its junction with the A458 Salop Road, in the County of Powys, shall cease to be a restricted road for the purposes of section 81 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
